# Link allowlist

This is a list of all domains that are allowed to be directly linked from within LoreBoard. This allowlist is submitted to Twitch and validated inside LoreBoard.

LoreBoard links are marked with an off-site indicator and open in a new tab, per [Twitch Guideline 4.6.2](https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/extensions/guidelines-and-policies/). LoreBoard only accepts `https://`.

Each entry covers that exact host and its subdomains, so `wikipedia.org` also covers `en.wikipedia.org`.

## Allowlist

| `discord.gg`, `discord.com` | Community chat platform. |
| `docs.google.com` | Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Used for longer-form information. |
| `x.com`, `instagram.com`, `tiktok.com`, `bsky.app` | Social networks. |
| `youtube.com` | Video sharing platform. |
| `ko-fi.com`, `patreon.com` | Creator membership platforms. |
| `pixiv.net` | Art community. |
| `open.spotify.com` | Music streaming. |
| `t.me` | Telegram messaging and groups. |
| `imgur.com` | Image hosting. |
| `amazon.com` | Online retailer. Explicitly allowlisted by Twitch. |
| `wiki.gg`, `fandom.com` | Game wiki hosting platforms. |
| `reddit.com` | Forums and communities. |
| `start.gg` | Video game tournament brackets and registration. |
| `wikipedia.org` | Encyclopedia. |
| `speedrun.com` | Speedrunning leaderboards. |
| `forms.gle` | Google forms. |
| `whatsapp.com` | WhatsApp groups and channels. |

## Blocked sites

Twitch currently only allows extensions to allowlist up to 25 URLs. As such, we've chosen those with the broadest possible use cases.

There are some websites that Twitch explicitly prohibits LoreBoard from opening:

- [Guideline 4.6.1](https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/extensions/guidelines-and-policies/): Sites offering functionality effectively similar to that available on Twitch.tv.
- [Guideline 4.6.3](https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/extensions/guidelines-and-policies/): Sites whose main purpose is buying products or services. Amazon is specifically exempted.
- [Guideline 4.11](https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/extensions/guidelines-and-policies/): Sites relating to or interacting with NFTs.

## What if I try to use a blocked website?

The link may not open for viewers. To ensure streamers don't ship broken links, we maintain the allowlist in the app itself and show a warning when you type in the URL.
