LoreBoard Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Effective 12 August 2026 · applies to the LoreBoard Twitch Extension and loreboard.app

LoreBoard is a Twitch Extension. It shows information a broadcaster writes (text blocks, dropdowns, links and countdowns) to the viewers of that channel. It runs entirely inside Twitch.

What it stores

One thing: the board a broadcaster writes. Tabs, blocks, their text, link labels and URLs, and the theme and overlay settings.

That content is stored in Twitch's extension configuration service, in the broadcaster configuration segment for that channel. It sits on Twitch's infrastructure, not ours. Twitch delivers it to the extension's views when they load. Live edits are sent to current viewers over Twitch's extension PubSub, which is also Twitch infrastructure.

The broadcaster chooses what goes in it, and can change or empty it at any time from the extension's configuration view.

What it does not do

What the operator can see

No board content, and nothing about any viewer. Board content lives in Twitch's configuration service for each channel; the operator of LoreBoard has no server in the path, no copy of any channel's configuration, and no record of who views a board or what they click.

The one thing the operator does see is the aggregate usage statistics Twitch shows every extension developer in its own console: how many channels have the extension installed and activated, day by day. Twitch produces those figures; the extension sends nothing to generate them, and they name no individual viewer.

Links a broadcaster adds

A links block can point at other websites. Those links are marked as leaving Twitch and open in a new tab. Once a viewer follows one, the privacy policy of that destination applies; LoreBoard has no involvement in it.

Twitch's role

The extension runs inside Twitch, is served by Twitch, and stores its data with Twitch. Twitch's own handling of that data, and of the viewers and broadcasters using it, is governed by Twitch's privacy notice: https://www.twitch.tv/p/legal/privacy-notice/.

This website

loreboard.app is a set of static pages describing the extension. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, telemetry, tracking or advertising code, and has no accounts or sign-in.

The interactive demo on the front page keeps its example board in your browser's local storage so it survives a reload. That content stays in your browser, is never sent anywhere, and clearing site data removes it.

The site is served as static files by Cloudflare Pages. As with any web host, Cloudflare processes the requests needed to deliver the pages.

Children

LoreBoard is used through Twitch and follows Twitch's age requirements. It collects no data from anyone, of any age.

Changes

If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it. Material changes accompany a new extension version.
